Ugo Colombo Attends Haute 100 Dinner Party

Haute Living held its annual Haute 100 dinner earlier this month at the new Faena Hotel. The event honored the most influential and philanthropic people in Miami (the list was released in Haute Living Miami’s April-May print edition).

Movie director Brett Ratner was honored with Haute Living’s “Outstanding Achievement Award” and partners of the night included Dom Perignon, Hublot, Douglas Elliman, Prestige Imports, Jet Smarter, and VULT.

Guests – including Ugo Colombo – arrived at the Art Deco-inspired Saxony Bar after passing through “the cathedral” – the Faena’s splendid lobby that contains murals evoking imagery from Alan Faena’s Argentina.

Coco Simone sang various songs as guests filed into the theater. They enjoyed a sumptuous, four-course dinner, and then Anthony Shriver took to the stage to talk about his friend and Outstanding Achievement award recipient – Hollywood director and producer, Brett Ratner.

Ugo Colombo Celebrates Art Basel

Haute Living held its annual Art Basel blowout on December 4^th. The evening started with an intimate collector’s dinner party sponsored by Hublot, Ugo Colombo’s The Collection and Perrier Jouët at Miami Heat star – and Collection brand ambassador – Dwyane Wade and actress Gabrielle Union’s waterfront home in Miami Beach.

The sprawling entrance of the property was transformed into a magic garden, with a topiary maze featuring works by pop artist Mr. Brainwash aka. Thierry Guetta walls and flower wall by Olyve Flowers.

Guests included Yankee slugger Alex Rodriguez, actor-artist Adrien Brody, the Heat’s Justise Winslow, Hublot CEO Ricardo Guadalupe, artist Romero Britto, Jorge Perez, Darlene Perez, Sara Colombo, and Ugo Colombo.

“My wife and I are very thankful to be able to open our doors to you. It took us four years to build this house, we just moved in last year, so it’s great to host our first event here with partners Hublot and The Collection,” said Wade.

Colombo Estate hosts the Best Buddies Art + Friendship Auction

On December 3^rd, the Best Buddies Art + Friendship Auction was held at the home of Sara and Ugo Colombo. Best Buddies International works to create employment and leadership opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The event raised nearly $1 million, with the auction including works by artists such as David Altmejd, Carol Bove, Joe Bradley, and many more. Guests included Leonardo DiCaprio, Val Kilmer, and Alina and Anthony Shriver.

Real Estate Experts Meet at Haute Living Real Estate Summit 2013

Ugo Colombo and other top Miami real estate experts met at the first “Haute Living Real Estate Summit,” held at the W South Beach Hotel.

Developer Ugo Colombo, President of CMC group and one of the first developers to start working in Miami, gave a quick synopsis of the past Miami development phases. In the 80’s, it was houses; 90’s saw waterfront condos; 2000 was the boom, and now 90% of Miami is developed on the waterfront. For new opportunities, developers need to look at interior pockets of land.

The Summit also discussed how Miami needs to expand the activation of green spaces, as well as address parking issues. Broker Jorge Uribe said, “Miami has reinvented itself. We are no longer just about sun, but now have an art scene, gastronomic movement, schooling and astronomically improved quality of buildings.” Miami seems to be a location that attracts people from around the world to come and own real estate, and is viewed as a safe haven for many seeking a place to live the ultimate lifestyle.

Haute Living’s Real Estate Summit Miami 2013

The biggest names in Miami real estate came out to participate in the Real Estate Summit Miami 2013, hosted by Haute Living. As part of interactive round table discussions, experts like Ugo Colombo gave their take on Miami’s red-hot real estate market. Topics ranged from improving the cities green space to the influx of celebrity architect designed buildings.

After a sumptuous lunch for the brokers, developers, and attendees, there was a quick presentation of Beach House 8, a luxury, eight-unit condo project designed by Arquitectonica, and developed in collaboration of Ugo Colombo and Morabito Properties.

Sara and Ugo Colombo Featured on Haute 100 List of Haute Living

Sara and Ugo Colombo were recently announced as part of Haute Living’s List of Haute 100 for 2013. The Haute 100 list is a list of the most influential individuals in Miami as compiled by the editors of Haute Living. The Colombo’s were recognized for their strong sense of luxury style and contributions to the community of Miami. According to the article, “Colombo is recognized all over the world for his Midas’ touch, bringing exceptional luxury properties and residential buildings to the city of Miami.
